We Currently Have 15 Eager Families!
Special Needs Infant Adoption currently (as of 10/13/09) has 15 fantastic, eager families waiting to adopt a special needs baby or toddler! These families are highly experienced with all kinds of special needs. Among our group of families we have nurses, special ed teachers, parents of special needs children, family members to people with a variety of special needs, foster parents with experience taking care of medically fragile children, mental health therapists, assisted living specialists, parents who work at residential facilities for the disabled, a pediatrition and many, many people with open loving hearts. Their greatest desire is to love and care for a baby or toddler with special needs. Please help us spread the word that these children are wanted!

Those Looking for Families
Welcome to Special Needs Infant Adoption. Are you an adoption agency, birthmom or other organization looking for loving adoptive families open to babies (under the age of 3) that have special needs? Then you have come to the right place! This new resource provides a free space for agencies and families to connect. We are not an adoption agency. We do not charge for our services. We simply provide a way for special needs babies and families who are willing, thrilled and prepared to parent children with challenges to find each other. As an adoptive mother of 7 beautiful children with special needs, I simply love unique children. I hope to help more special needs babies find their forever families. I hope to prevent precious children from ending up in foster care or aborted by birth-families not prepared to deal with the difficulties of raising special needs children. If you have a unique adoption situation, please let us know. We will help connect you to families that are homestudy and adoption ready for a special needs baby or toddler. Please email your adoption situation to Kelly Grove at mom2khmertwins@yahoo.com
Those Looking To Adopt
Welcome to Special Needs Infant Adoption. Are you a loving family interested in and open to adopting babies (under the age of 3) who have special needs? Then this is the place for you!
From personal experience as the adoptive mom of 7 wonderful special needs children, I can testify that these unique children are a wonderful, rewarding addition to a family. It is fantastic that you too see the amazing gifts these children have to offer.
We are not an adoption agency. We do not charge any fees. We are simply a place for organizations or birthmoms trying to place a special need baby for adoption to find loving capable parents delighted to parent a baby with unique needs.
When agencies contact us about available adoption situations, we will go through our list of ready families and the ones that we feel would be a good match (based upon the adoptive family and the birth-family's criteria), will be notified. If the adoptive family is interested, they can choose to pursue the adoption situation. Be aware that there might be more then one family who the situation fits and the final decision is up to the placing agency or birthmom. If your family is not interested, that is OK too. You will still be presented with future situations that meet your individual profile.
You can also choose to add your picture and your blog link to our website so that potential birthmoms can see that there really are families out there who love these precious children.
In order to be on our list of potential parents, you must meet the following criteria.
1) You must be homestudy approved to adopt special needs children and be able to provide the contact information for the social worker who conducted your homestudy.
2) You must be open to and educated about at least one of the following special needs:
down syndrome, turners syndrome, other congenital syndromes, blindness, deafness, missing or deformed limbs, other physical deformities, respiratory difficulties, heart defects, cerebral palsy, dwarfism, digestive tract problems, G-tube, wheelchair bound, significant developmental delays, significant physical delays, large exposure to drugs or alcohol, genetic mental health problems, cleft lip and palate, club foot, HIV, hepatitis, hormone deficiencies, uncorrectable medical condition, surgeries needed, preemie, mute or speech delayed, medically fragile or abused
3) You must be able to present a profile to adoption agencies or birth families that are interested in learning more about you.
To be added to our list of waiting families, please email Kelly Grove at mom2khmertwins@yahoo.com for an intake survey.
